Why Maestro

All Maestro instruments are fully handcrafted collectively by our team of luthiers. Each luthier is assigned to a process in line with his or her expertise that allows us to integrate quality control measure while building the instrument. This ensures that only the greatest attention to detail was placed on your instrument.

Quality

Quality Specification & Workmanship

At Maestro Guitars, mainly our Custom Series and Private Collection, are all tap-tuned by Hozen including the back. Tap tuning is a process where one listens to the response of the wood when tapped in different areas before adjusting the braces & the thickness of the top by adding or removing wood. Your Maestro instrument is built in our humidity controlled workshop that is maintained at 45% to 55% Relative Humidity. All our guitars are PLEK’d except the Elite Series. Instruments are all thoroughly checked and setup before they are distributed to our dealers. We blend traditional workmanship with innovations. For example, we use Hide Glue. Hide glue is technically more challenging to use compared to other glues. We insist in the time-tested glue to fasten our bridges and braces to soundboard. It improves the volume and sustain of the sound of the guitar since it dries harder than any other glue.

Individually Voiced Tops

Individually Voiced Tops

Hozen has studied voicing with the famed Ervin Somogyi in February 2015, and he personally imbues the voice for all Maestro Guitars’ tops. Maestro’s responsiveness and lushness can be assured regardless of any Maestro guitar you pick.

The Singapore Story

The Singapore Story

Singapore was a fishing village 50 years ago with much doubt about the country’s viability but today it’s a world-class international hub with some of the best facilities in the world. It’s a miracle to go from 3rd class to 1st class within 1 generation. Not only just this but she has also produced many miracles such as the best airport, the best airline, busiest port etc. We unfalteringly believe Maestro guitars wil be one of the many Singapore will be proud of.
