Armed with guitar and her simple, heart-wrenching style of music, Singer-songwriter Shimona burst back onto the Singapore music scene in 2010 after a 6-year stint overseas.

In 2001, Shimona won TV Works’ Singapore-wide singing contest, and has been performing professionally ever since. With her simple heart-wrenching style of music, Shimona’s voice is a delicious mix of wild child and luscious woman, and she is often known for her versatile singing and warm stage-presence.

Being versatile in genre, Shimona touches on different singing-styles such as pop, folk, jazz, classical, rock, and this flexibility helps her to hone in on performance/microphone techniques based on singing-style genres when she teaches private vocal lessons.

In 2010, Shimona produced her own independent EP, “Christmas Lights”, consisting of well-known carols and one original Christmas song. This independent project was very well received and most of the proceeds donated to a Bangkok-based charity called In Search of Sanuk.

Shimona is currently working on her full-length debut album that will be available this 2012.
