Purple Heart is a very hard and dense wood that is native from Central and South America. Its unique purplish-red-violet color is achieved after oxidation. Sharing some tonal characteristics between a Bloodwood and Rosewood, it is known for its well-defined basses, clear trebles, and rich airy projection.
